When you use the contact form we receive what you type: your name, email, phone if you give it, and the notice details you include. Like most sites, ours also records basic visit data such as pages viewed and browser type.

How we use it

We use your message to reply and to check for conflicts of interest. We don't sell it or share it for marketing. Visit data helps us see which guides people read.

How long we keep it

Messages from people who don't become clients are deleted after a year. Client files are kept as long as the rules for lawyers require.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete a message you sent, by emailing hello@abernethyvandermeer.com.
